Care and Maintenance Guidelines
At Ru-steca, we aim to ensure your clothes remain in excellent condition for as long as possible. To maintain the quality of your favorite pieces, please follow these care tips:
Start by checking the care label for specific instructions on your garment. To avoid color bleeding, wash similar colors together. We suggest using cold water for washing to help preserve the fabric and reduce energy usage. A gentle wash cycle will also minimize wear and tear.
For specific fabrics: Cotton garments can be machine washed in cold water and either tumble dried on a low setting or air-dried to prevent shrinkage. Wool items should be hand washed or washed on a delicate cycle with cold water, then laid flat to dry to keep their shape. Synthetic fabrics can be machine washed in cold water and tumble dried on low, but be sure to avoid fabric softeners, which can harm the fibers. For denim, wash inside out to preserve the color and limit washing to maintain fabric strength.
When ironing, always turn the garment inside out and adjust the heat according to the fabric type. For proper storage, hang garments that wrinkle easily, such as blouses and dresses, while folding heavier items like sweaters to keep their shape.
If you spill something on your clothing, take action immediately to prevent staining. Gently blot the affected area with a clean cloth, being careful not to spread the stain.
Some clothing may require dry cleaning—always follow the care label’s instructions. To prevent damage, avoid contact with sharp objects and be cautious of snagging when wearing accessories.
By following these guidelines, your Ru-steca items will stay fresh and stylish for a long time. Should you have any questions regarding the care of specific garments, don’t hesitate to contact us!
